2 Days Work Shop on Entrepreneurship Development

The Kuppam Engineering College (KEC) is proud to have Industry Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC) sponsored from AICTE in the year 2013-14. Under IIPC, KEC conducted many programs like Workshop on 3D Printing Technology, Employability Enhancement Program, Internship Program of 45 days by Mahindra Sathyam, Bangalore, Faculty Development Program etc., Out of the above programs Entrepreneurship Development Workshop plays a major role. Two Days Workshop on Entrepreneurship Development is one of the great achievements by KEC through IIPC.

Two day workshop on Entrepreneurship Development Program is organized by Department of MBA in association with Industry Institute Partnership Cell IIPC of Kuppam Engineering College, Kuppam Chittoor district on March 24th and 25th 2014. The eminent personalities like Professor Ramesh Regional Director Entrepreneurship Development Institute India (EDII) Bangalore and Sri. Ashok Kumar, Assistant Director, District Industry Center (DIC) Chittoor are the main speakers. The program was inaugurated by Dr. N.Sunil Raj, Vice chairman Kuppam Engineering College, followed by Principal Dr. Soma V. Chetty, Director R&D and IIPC Chief Coordinator Professor Dr. Venugopal. N and Professor & HOD MBA Department Dr. Eshwar Reddy.

The first day of workshop is taken by Professor Ramesh (EDII, Bangalore) who mainly focused on Awareness of Entrepreneurship Development among the students. The second day of work shop was taken by Sri. Ashok Kumar Asst. Director (DIC, Chittoor) who provided the information about financial support to take up Entrepreneurship task followed by Dr. Soma. V. Chetty Principal Kuppam Engineering College, who had given motivation and confidence to students to become entrepreneur. Prof. Ramesh had covered two topics on the first day. The first topic is on removing the fear of mental preparedness to take up Entrepreneurship and the second topic is Bussiness Opportunity Identification improving the innovative skills and creativity among the students to take up some live projects which can be commercialized. The students are interested but they are not mentally ready for taking up such task because of a strong fear of taking up the entrepreneurship with reference to financial aspect and also less confidence in getting innovative projects which can be commercialized. Prof. Ramesh motivated the students by giving them a confidence with real examples to take up the entrepreneurship with calculated financial risk. Sri. Ashok Kumar had explained the financial support from the government for starting up the entrepreneurship in micro, small and medium enterprises.

The first day Dr. N. Sunil Raj, Vice Chairman Kuppam Engineering College felicitated the Chief Guest Prof. Ramesh Regional Director, EDII, Bangalore. The Second day Sri. B.C. Nagaraj, founder Chairman, BCN group of Institutions has felicitated the Resource person Sri. Ashok Kumar Asst. Director DIC, Chittoor, during valedictory function.
