PG Programs :
The Department started the M. Tech. – Embedded Systems and VLSI Design in the year of 2012 and 2014 respectively. Currently, the Department following the syllabus framed by the JNTUA (R09 & R17). The program structure provides a right mix of compulsory and elective courses. The students of M. Tech. program are advised to carry out their project work by considering practical challenges/issues in the field of Embedded systems and VLSI Design.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)
The graduates will be able to:
PEO 1. Identify and apply appropriate Electronic Design Automation (EDA) to solve real world problems in Embedded Systems domain to create innovative products and systems.
PEO 2. Develop managerial skill and apply appropriate approaches in the domains of Embedded Systems incorporating safety, sustainability and become a successful professional or an Entrepreneur in the domain.
PEO 3. Pursue career in research in Embedded Systems domain through self learning and self directed on cutting edge technologies.
Program Outcomes (POs)
The Graduates will be able to:
PO 1.Scholarship of Knowledge: Acquire in-depth knowledge of VLSI and Embedded systems in wider and global perspective, with an ability to discriminate, evaluate, analyze, synthesize and integrate for enhancement of knowledge.
PO 2.Critical Thinking: Analyze electronics engineering problems critically; apply independent judgment for synthesizing information to make intellectual and/or creative advances for conducting research.
PO 3.Problem Solving and Research Skill: Extract information through literature survey and experiments pertinent to unfamiliar problems, apply appropriate research methodologies, techniques and tools, design, conduct experiments, analyze, demonstrate higher order skill, contribute individually/in group(s) to the development of scientific/technological knowledge in techno-managerial systems.
PO 4.Usage of modern tools: Create, select, learn and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and EDA tools including emulators for modeling and prototyping with an understanding of the tools limitations.
PO5.Collaborative and Multidisciplinary work: Possess knowledge and understanding of group dynamics, recognize opportunities and contribute positively to collaborative-multidisciplinary scientific research, demonstrate a capacity for self-management and teamwork, decision-making based on open-mindedness, objectivity and rational analysis in order to achieve common goals and further the learning of themselves as well as others
PO6. Project Management and Finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of engineering and management principles and apply the same to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, manage projects efficiently in respective disciplines and multidisciplinary environments after consideration of economical and financial factors.

The graduates will be able to:
PEO1: To educate and train the graduates with knowledge and skills necessary to formulate, design and solve problems in Analog, Digital & Mixed Signal VLSI system design, VLSI Signal Processing, Semiconductor Technologies, and Hardware Software Co-Design.
PEO2: To provide Technical skills in software and hardware tools related to the design and implementation of integrated Circuits, System on Chip for real time applications.
PEO3: To provide scope for Applied Research and innovation in the various fields of VLSI and enabling the students to work in the emerging areas.

PO 3.Research Skill: Be able to undertake research projects, Design and conduct experiments, analyze and interpret data, imbibe programming skills for development of simulation experiments in related domains of VLSI.
PO 4.Usage of Modern Tools: Use different software tools in the domain of VLSI Design, Analysis and Verification such as Design entry, Synthesis, Functional and Timing Simulation, Floor planning, Place and route, Layout editors, RTL schematic, Platform specific EDA sets, MATLAB.
PO 5.Ethical Practices and Social Responsibility: Acquire professional and intellectual integrity, professional code of conduct, ethics of research and scholarship, consideration of the impact of research outcomes on professional practices and an understanding of responsibility to contribute to the community for sustainable development of society.
PO 6.Life-long Learning: Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in lifelong learning independently, with a high level of enthusiasm and commitment to improve knowledge and competence continuously.
