A One day workshop on “TOTAL STATION and GPS” was conducted by Civil Engineering Department in Kuppam Engineering College, Kuppam on August 12th 2014. The inauguration function was started at 10 am at seminar Hall of the main building. The function was presided over by Dr. Soma V. Chetty, Principal. Dr. K. Narasimhulu, HOD, Dept. of Civil Engineering, Kuppam Engineering College, Organized this one Day Workshop. Dr. Sunil Raj garu, the vice – chairman of Kuppam Engineering College, our honored special invitee, had come and grace this workshop. Mr. Rangaraju, Manager, Lawrence and Mayo (I) Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, inaugurated this One Day Workshop and gave an educate speech on Total Station And GPS. In this inspiring speech, Dr. N. Sunil Raj garu, appreciated the creative steps taken by the HOD and staff and students of the department. After the inauguration, the participants got themselves divided into four batches and each batch had one instructor to conduct the program. The topics coved by them were Traversing, Topographic Surveying, Setting out, BSP, Stack Out and Remote Elevation Measurement. The participants participated very enthusiastically. The valedictory function was conducted at 4.30 pm at civil department and it ended at 5pm.
